What data we collect

Anonymous use (no account): no data is sent to our servers. Your vocabulary progress is stored only in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

Registered accounts: if you choose to create an account, we collect and store:

  • Your email address — used to identify your account.
  • A hashed password — we never store your password in plain text.
  • Your vocabulary learning progress — which words you have studied, how many times you answered correctly, and when you last studied each word.
  • Your study streak — the number of consecutive days you have studied.

We do not collect names, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Why we collect it

Account data is collected solely to save your learning progress across devices and to allow you to resume where you left off. We do not share this data with third parties, sell it, or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time (see below). We do not retain any data after deletion.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kunsazee@gmail.com.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all your data permanently from the vocab trainer settings, or by contacting us at kunsazee@gmail.com. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — all your progress data is removed from our database.

Data storage

Data is stored in a MongoDB database hosted within the European Union. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. Authentication tokens are transmitted via secure, HttpOnly cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
